The Judging Process
All of the Business Champion Award entries are initially assessed by an experienced short listing panel who score each entry. Those with the highest scores will be announced as the 2011 finalists.
Each company reaching finalist status will then be notified and invited to present their case in person during a 15 minute presentation followed by 15 minutes Q&A to a further panel of judges at locations around London on 29th & 30th September 2011.
Each panel will consist of four to five judges and will typically include a financial expert, an academic and a practitioner in the subject matter, an entrepreneur and a specialist from the sponsoring organisation). Sponsors are always outnumbered by independent judges to ensure the integrity of the programme is upheld.
Each panel will also be moderated by an independent chairperson.
In 2011 The Business Champion Awards will employ the services of over 150 judges and between them they will undertake over 160 hours of judging to ensure that the winners announced on the 27th October 2011 at the East Wintergarden at Canary Wharf really will be the champions in their category.
