Phil Hall

Phil Hall is Founder and Chairman of PHA Media, one of the UK’s fastest growing PR agencies.

Phil is an award winning journalist. He was editor of the News of the World for five years, Britain’s biggest selling newspaper. From here he moved to take up the reins at Hello! magazine where he was editor in chief.

He later became the Editorial Director of Development for Trinity Mirror, Europe’s largest newspaper publishing group and in his time there was responsible for the launch of several new magazines. Phil has won eight major awards as editor of the News of the World and Hello! including International Magazine of the year.

He has held influential positions on the Press Complaints Commission, first as a senior representative of the newspaper industry and then for an unprecedented second time as a representative of the magazine world. Phil makes regular television and radio broadcasts and is a media expert to the BBC, ITN, Sky News, Radio 5 Live, LBC to name but a few.

Phil has won his place as a guru in crisis management of the media and has advised on high profile crisis situations in the past few years, working closely with expert media lawyers as well as the newspaper editors and the press complaints commission.
